Well maybe back in the day the extra teeth were useful for something, now all they do is create large dental bills.
Anyhow, my recovery has gone pretty well. My oral surgeon called later Friday night to check how I was doing and thought I was doing better than expected. I'm going to head back to work tomorrow and also for a checkup, although I still get a bit of blood in my mouth after a night's sleep. I only have a slight bit of swelling and am finally starting to eat more solid foods. Think rabbit, chewing with y'ur front teeth.
The experience wasn't as bad as I expected. I also learned how good Percocet is.
Although now I only need an advil or two when times are tough. I expect I'll be fine later this week.
As a treat I purchased an iPod Hi-Fi to help tide the days away while recovering in bed. It was worth it. But a review is for another thread.
Anyhow, those worrying about the procedure should be at ease. At least if you have a good oral surgeon. Just make sure you have good meds, plenty of ice packs / frozen peas, and lots of soft foods. I can give some recommendations if you want.
Man, I can't wait to eat a burrito and a beer!
