Time for another cute attack -- Arthur and Lyta...



Arthur's black fur is very difficult to photograph. I had to play around with the brightness curve in Photoshop to bring out some of the detail in his fur in a better way that simple brightness/contrast adjustment could accomplish.

Its lake Bled in the northwestern part of Slovenia. I have family near there in Ljubljana so I spent this summer visiting them. It a great place because not only is it unbelievably beautiful, it's also really cheap (although I think that will change when they switch to the Euro next year).

Thanks. Canon EOS Digital Rebel. I primarily have just tweeked the saturation and brightness in these, with an occasional tweeking of the sharpness. Also the whitepoint. I only shoot in RAW, specifically so that I can tweek WP afterwards. That's probably the single biggest part right there. I'm a tad bit colorblind (never knew until I enlisted in the Army) and I think that may have some impact on my preference for vivid colors. As a result, I usually adjust my photos toward a higher than typical saturation and contrast. I'm currently using Canon's Digital Photo Professional software that they have online for free. Will be stepping up to Aperture whenever I get around to getting a MacPro.

I really don't care much for pastels.
