Old iBook to new MBP

When I get my new MPB today, my plan was to run a fresh back-up of my old iBook on an external drive, and then plug that drive into my new MBP. Then just drag and drop the photos in to iPhoto, and copy the entire iTunes library into the iTunes folder (not through the front end).

Does that sound feasable? The other projects & documents are easy, I just don't want to screw up the fun stuff.

Either that or the migration assistant. I would go with what you are doing, that way you don't get anything you don't want.

Thanks. I used migration assistant last time, and hated it.
