but seriously kids. we all know if we are intelligent enough to look at a map Asia is huge and is made up of a large amount of countries. But we also have to face the fact that you cant expect people to say asian, pause, then specify what asian country they are talking about. Especially if they cant tell the difference a Japanese person, a Chinese person, or a Cambodian person. And thats just the south-eastern portion of asia. And not cause there ignorant and are too lazy or racist but because they have no experiance with being able to tell different countries apart. Last time I checked they dont hold up a diagram in school specifying different traits.

So. with that said. Zune is crap. iPod reigns as always. Expect this to be another creative zen. now someone squirt me a song.

Umm.. I believe they called it Native American Tribal Religions or something like that. It was a mish mosh of beliefs.

Blame it on Columbus - the idiot thought he found India, so he named Native Americans 'Indians'. Do you wonder why they don't like being called 'Indians'?

I'm not sure what you mean here... Oriental means East. If you think of Europe as the center of the world, then technically everything to the east would be oriental. Hey, when you get right down to it, Oriental means of, from, or characteristic of the Far East. That is why Oriental Chicks makes technical sense. It's not akin to calling black people Colored though since "Colored" doesn't make technical sense. However, as the oxford english dictionary points out, Oriental is offensive to some. I had no idea that it was. I'm sure AppleInsider was using it as a descriptive word and I doubt anyone here would think otherwise. So let's just let it go now that we all know better now.

I look at it this way: if you see an attractive person whose genetic roots are from that part of the world, you don't want to describe the person as oriental, you want to use Asian.

the need for political correctness is completely secondary to more practical matters.

Oriental was used in the US as well and was commonly tied to Japan and China. Besides, read my post, I said Oriental was more geographically specific because it referred to fewer countries than Asian. For example, Asian can mean someone from India or Japan while Oriental can never mean someone from India.

I call em Caucasonians.
