New Shuffle - Bad Battery?

I've had the new shuffle for a month or two and have discovered the battery won't last past an hour or so without shutting off automatically.

While you're using it? -- or while it's paused? Because if it's the former, that sounds like you ought to return it for a replacement. Even if you had used it 24/7 since it was released, it ought to still be holding a good charge. That's shitty, man!

While I'm using it. Sometimes, I'll press the button to advance to the next song, it'll go dead. Can't be revived by any known means, then I have to reset it thru iTunes and recharge the battery. Very frustrating.

Anyone else having similar issues with the new shuffle?
