Where can I find old Apple® LCD Displays?

I would like to buy one, or at least know I can find how much they are going for, but I can't find any. Where would be the best place to find them?

Here is a picture of the model I am talking about: http://www.everymac.com/images/monit...ma_display.jpg

You can still find those on eBay.

LCDs have become increasingly better (contrast ratio, brightness, and response time are the key speccs) over time and those old Apple displays don't have specs comparable to even the cheapest LCD displays.

I realize that -- but I love those displays ^_^. They looks so much...mac-ish. Lol, but I suppose the newer ones would do better for a Mac Pro...since they both have that matalic look.

Apple displays have been the worst priced and most underspec'd then and now. Get yourself an NEC or Dell display.

I have a 20" of that version that I am not using. It developed the "half dark" screen (lower half), and I never had it repaired. I'd be happy to sell it to you. I'd imagine you could either have it repaired, or do it yourself for a reasonable amount. At the time (about 2.5 years ago) I was quoted $500 for Apple to open it up, and I had paid $1200 for it (new) just over a year before that (just out of warranty). I replaced it so I could get back to work.

Not a great sales pitch, I know, but it might be a good way to get one cheap!
