I have none at all. I'd like to get Tony Hawk Proskater though and that cool new gamepad with force feedback.
1) Giants
2) Sacrifice

Thats all I have for now. Can't wait for EverQuest.
I don't have many high-end games on my Mac, but these are enough to occupy me during those bouts with boredom.

4x4 Evolution 2
Bejeweled
BlackBox
DooMLegacy
EV Nova
glTron
Jinni Zeala
Oni
Quake 3
Racer
RockNES
Shapes II
SNES9X
Snood
Star Wars Episode I Racer
Starcraft

All are native on Mac OS X except Episode 1 Racer, but it runs fantastic under Classic.
edit: whoops. I forgot about Quake 3. It's been a loooong time since I played that , though.

Which gamepad are you talking about? The only gamepad I know of that supports force feedback on the Mac side is the MacAlly iShock II, which I've considered buying.

Oh, and I'm play right now Incoming, and Wingnuts (which I'd really like to get a force feedback gamepad for now that it supports them).

Diablo 2 kicks @$$, and Diablo I had a very unique flavor that you might also like (for example, compare and contrast the importance of a Book Case in a Dungeon to a Magic Class from D1 to D2... it when from the thing to look for... to... well... um... a book case...). So both of those might strike your fancy. (Play online, Lan, or single)

When it comes to Online RPGs, I can't reccomend many games other than: Shadowbane...

What's the difference between a G5 and Shadowbane? Shadowbane isn't vaporware! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />

Seriously, Shadowbane has been delayed, but it's now entering extreme beta, and actually will release with a Mac client at the same time as Windwos, sometime in 2003 (expectation is early, I'm betting on Summer 2003)...

Imagine a world where you and your friends build an empire, battling it out with others, forming alliances, and fighing the good, err, well, fighting whatever fight you choose! Play to Crush!

(Everquest, is, well, best described by it's second most popular name: EverCrack...) Sometimes that kind of stuff isn't all that fun...

The Sims is pretty cool too... Great for all ages. Create your own family and friends, and see how they flurish, or, well, crap themselves...

I'll let other people put in their two cents, but please, not flame me just because Everquest [explitive deleted].

(Ok, Evequest and Ultima Online are both enjoyable. As is Dark Age of Camolot. This isn't specifically about MMORGPS, though, and Sony has publicly stated that Everquest is not a Role Playing game, in that they won't allow people to role play necromancers fully, or other criminal acts... Like taking a [explitive deleted] and [explitive deleted]...)

The very, very best games, in my opinion, tend to be mods of good games. Half Life has great mods like Counter Strike and Natural Selection, just to name a few, and playing them has only costed the 1 game, and the rest has been completely 100% free. [Half Life unfortunately never released for the Mac, those bastards were going to, but then decided that they wouldn't allow Mac and PC clients to play on the same servers, Mac fans revolted, and Valve listened: They canceled the project. Maybe we should keep our mouths shut more often???]

I've never done Quake III, or Unreal Tournament (I, II, or whatever), but look into mods for those games, and pick one that has a strong mod fan base. You may just be delitefully suprised by seeing some of the best games for released as mods for over 5 years (When the heck did Half Life come out, 1996?)

The Sims, Age of Empires, Fly 2, and Myst 3. Those four games rock. I also am trying out a game called Zork: Grand Inquisitor from MacPlay.

Its mainly a 1st person shooter with a bit of strategy thrown in. It's been real fun playing since I picked it up at a used gaming store for 15 bucks.

i'm not really a gamer, but there was a period of time when jack and i would play starcraft every night-- my goal being to lose less quickly. though now that i have a decent setup i really want to play again. i played black and white for a while on jack's machine, i like that too. ooh, and of course the sims, but i never really got addicted to it. i think they should market those three games for adolescent girls, black and white would really take off. better than that "purple moon" or "cosmo makeover" sh*t.

Snood.

Most importantly: DOOM.

DOOM I, DOOM II, Ultimate Doom, and Mac DoomLegacy.

If a machine doesn't play Doom, it's not worthwhile.

I don't have a single game on any of my computers(besides the ones that come pre-installed), I sometimes play flash or java games online.
Since I hooked up playstation2 online, its hard to sit at my computer and play games on a 19inch monitor(LAME). but I used to play Rainbow6 and rouge spear on Gameranger all the time...really.
but since those games are not oSX I quit playing them. After Jaguar was released I can't bring myself to boot 9 or classic.its like it was all a bad dream.

Hmmm.

Most common: (a few times a day) --

When Sober or not:
- "let's see if she's home now and not doing anything." A text based terminal game involving en0 and promisc.

Less Common: A few times a month --

When Sober, or at least only partially inebriated:
- various emulated console games
- various Escape Velocity games made by Ambrosia et al.
- various RTS games made by Blizzard

And when not:
- Reckless Drivin'
- The Cow Catching Game
- various Escape Velocity games
- Shufflepuck (old school)
- Stuntcopter (really old school)

That sounds like the one I am talking about. I saw it on Apple's great Holiday Gift Guide. It looks like it's actually been out for a while. You can tell just by its clear plastics that differ from the newer, "clear white" style peripherals Macally now makes.

From my rather poor collection:

Oni
Maelstrom X
Burning Monkey Solitaire

... and the two that I actually play most often:

Tranquility
Elendor (a text-based MUSH)

piwozniak: my Cyborg 3D Gold from Saitek works perfect with X-Plane.

Main one is MOH although I've just finished it - what a disappointing ending. Diablo 2, Myth 2, wolfenstein MP demo and recently went back to Monkey Island 1 + 2 when afflicted with a bout of nostalgia.
My computer worked yesterday,

yes, works fine under OS 10. It's the USB version. but I'm not sure if it's gonna work with other flight simulation games than X-Plane. I don't have Fly! II.

Hi

You were right, very nice stick, i just returned from best buy and i really like that one. Looks like support for it is already built into FLY, but it's rather funny, Z axis works np, X and Y are working but not fully. :-) There is an option to test axis and it works fine for all of them, but i can't assign any axis other than Z. So now i'm in process of downloading latest patches, hoping that this will solve it, if not i can always run it under classic.

But the joystick is absolutely perfect. Thanks again

I used to play Ceasar II and III, and enjoyed Diablo II for quite some time. Escape Velocity was one of the neatest ever, but then I liked Space Potatoes when it first came out too (way back in the TRS80 days)

Since upgrading to OSX, though, I find the hassle of booting into OS9 has kinda sapped any real enjoyment of these games. Besides, the space these games took up on my hard drive can now be used for storing music...

Well, I have PS2 online and Xbox LIVE so it's hard to sit down and play normally on a computer now. But, when I do:
Warcraft III
Quake 3---Urban Terror, Q3F, Normal
X-Plane
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
Starcraft
The Sims
Sim City 3000
And Psychobabble (or however the hell you spell it) on popcap.com.

I'm playing Infinity again (in OSX thanks to Aleph One)! I make it a point to play them all once a year. Good times.

Although, my nephew was watching my play the other day, and I told him that they just don't make games like these anymore. He said 'What, you mean with really bad graphics?"
