Need a software for Mac that can convert between almost all formats!

Thread Starter
I have many media devices, e.g. mobile phone, Pocket PC, PSP, XBOX360,I often need to play various videos using them to do testing, but u know, these devices support different file formats, im tired of searching for various different files here and there, I do hope there is a software that can convert between almost all formats like MOV, AVI, WMV, MPEG1/2/4, 3GP, ASF, MP4, MP2, MP3, WMA, OGG, AAC, M4A, WAV and AC3 etc. I know therere many such software under Windows, but could someone recommend me such a program for Mac, no matter shareware or freeware. Any help appreciated.

I also use VisualHub but don't object to the fee at all. It does what is says on the tin, provides excellent support and rapid development. Just yesterday it was updated for the iPhone, for example.
Aside from that bag of hurt, Mrs Lincoln, what did you think of the play?

I've done alot of research and Visualhub seems to be the most popular, so I purchased it last night (even now has iPhone presets). The problem I'm having is the time for conversion. I've ripped a couple of DVDs, using both Mac the Ripper and Handbrake. When I try to convert using Visualhub, the time is showing from 4-8 HOURS, while I've read that it shouldn't take but 30 minutes or so. I've even tried to lower the bitrate on both audio and video.

I have a PowerBook G4, 1.5 GHz, 1.25 GB DDR, running OS X 10.4.10. Any advice?

That's about right on my desktop G4/1 Ghz.

My wife's intellintosh iMac will take about 30 minutes for the same files.
