Official WWDC 2007 Keynote CountDOWN Thread - Page 3

Quick Time Player probably will do that... Apple doesn't post QTs of products, but they do of the Keynote. (No peeking before Christmas...) Pop open QT Player and the content guide should show the Keynote at some point without any other info.

Sorry; I always stay up all night (I live in Japan and the Keynote starts at 2:00am) on chat following the play-by-play and then watch the Keynote later if I have time or to watch the really good parts.

Alas, QT Player shows a small banner advertising the biggest announcement. I hate to turn this thread into an explanation of this concept - the page I'm looking for already exists, and with good reason. I was just wondering if someone who knew what I meant had the URL. It'll get posted on MacRumors a few days before the Keynote anyway.

iMacs to be released too? Hmm... I predict 90% chance new iMacs will come out within 24 Hours of any new MacBook Pros.

So solidified line-up of MacBooks, MacBookPros, iMacs, AppleTV 160gb... MBP 17" deprecated, Mac Mini deprecated.
iPod line stays at it is until after Leopard release for Christmas/EndOfYear Frenzy.

So 3rd calendar quarter of June, full release USA iPhone. Full tilt press for Leopard launch.

4th calendar quarter of June, the usual stock and shopping Apple *EUPHORIA*.

I'm glad I don't need [recreational] drugs anymore to enjoy this stuff.

Heh. Maybe the new iMacs will be the feature for showing the brilliance of OS X Leopard on Desktops. To invigorate the desktop aspect while MacBooks and MacBookPros(? ) fly off the shelves, and OS X Lite(?) kicks the iPhone into the scene.

My guess is that Steve will show us iLife and iWork '07 (or whatever they call them, given that '07 is half over now) along with Leopard.
Thanks Shanmugam....

So....As per AppleInsider's latest report, I too think that now iMacs will run to their longest ever without an update.

"Buy a qualifying Mac and iPod from Apple or a participating Apple Authorized Campus Store from June 5, 2007, through September 16, 2007, and receive a mail-in rebate up to $199"

I think there will not be iMac updates during this period.

End of September/Early October will be tricky, but new iMacs with the super-duper-OMFG-redesign stuff with Leopard will lead the first major assault into the end-of-year holiday season.

WWDC will likely have Steve announcing at what stage (anything in September onwards??) Macs bought will qualify for free upgrade to Leopard... Remember those "Software Coupons"... Heh

Oh and Berger, 3 DAYS. ..and 23 Hours.

Seriously though, the momentum is towards new MacBook Pros at WWDC, though honestly I don't know anymore than Kasper's letting out.

ha ha
nice.
I blew so much cash (well, as a % of my income anyways) on Apple in the past 5+ years I figured, might as well work for them (if you can't beat em...).

Hey, you guys offer a lot of free stuff with purchase! Free Airport Express with 17" iMac purchase? That's sweet! How many dollars is a Malysian...ummmm....rupee, maybe?

Yeah, in SouthEastAsia things are improving gradually, MacBook and MacBookPro came down in price.
Free Airport Express on all the iMacs at this stage is not bad...

MacBook, MacBookPro, iMacs, now almost about comparable in equivalent USD once you factor about 5% to 10% sales tax[AFAIK?] in most US states.

The 17" SuperDrive iMac is 56,779.40 INR -- how does that compare??
