Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a shareware program to edit MP3's with. Does anyone know of any for Mac OS9 that will fade out the end of a song? I have MP3's whose ending is the beginning of the next song, Arghhhh. Thanks in advance for your help

Technically, that's plain wrong: Sound Studio doesn't allow you to edit MP3's natively. If at all, you'll need on the fly Quicktime decoding/encoding. I never go that road. If I need to edit, I always convert to AIFF first (iTunes does this nicely), and to MP3 afterwards. The only problem: you convert to the lossy format (mp3) twice, which doubles your loss, apparently. Yet I think this is the best way to go.

I think there is an app called Audacity that will do what you want, or you'll have to look into more commercial products, such as Bias Peak LE.
