Any news no when Logic Pro 8 or it's replacement might arrive?

Might we anticipate it appearing as part of the Final Cut Studio (3?) bundle - perhaps as part of the next release of Soundtrack Pro (as has been previoulsy speculated)?

Haven't you heard? Everything's on hold until all iPhones are sold out.

No. It's waaaaay overdue, though. Of course, it's so overdue at this point that it could be another year and barely matter.

Dilemma:
I can get Cubase 4 cheap now (about US$400 crosgrade) or wait till my preferred app - Logic 8 or its replacement comes out. I read somewhere of a rumoured September release...

Apple's silence on this is perplexing;they quite happily did a technology preview of Logic 7, they pre-announced the iPhone, Leopard etc. Yet Logic users have waited, and continue to wait, without any information about the future. Marcus Fritze of Logic did post at OSXaudio (as was ) to the effect of " why would you assume that it was waiting for Leopard" So again users hearts flutter a little quicker.
