Hmm.. that's interesting. It doesn't seem to be a problem with the amount of memory or free space on your hard disk. Have you tried repairing permissions? That may help. Also, backing up your data and just doing a clean install could alleviate your problems. This sounds like a software issue to me. I'd also check out the Activity Monitor utility to see if there are any memory leaks in your system.
