wifi wep connection help

just bought my iphone today, but am having trouble setting up the wifi connection.

can anyone help?

settings -> wi-fi -> select my network. then it asks for password. i tried putting in the passcode and the hex code, and nothing works.

can anyone help?

make sure you put in CAPITAL letters if there are any in your password
