Assembling my OSX tool chest

Thread Starter
I've been switched back to OS9 for the most part these last few months, but I'm starting to slide back over to OSX, especially on my new iBook.

I'd be curious to see people list their preferred OSX software apps, their "tool chest" for various functions. Maybe it would be instructive to see others reply to this.... maybe it would reveal some helpful new software some of us have missed.

So if you're interested, let's fill out the following list of preferred apps. Feel free to paste my blank list into your reply, and/or to add program types I don't list here. And of course also feel free to make comments about apps you feel especially happy about (or unhappy too, I guess).

GraphicConverter!!! It's earned a permanent spot in my dock since Day One. This sweet proggie imports about 145 graphic file formats and exports about 45 graphic file formats and performs all sorts of batch operations too.

I skip burning since I don't have a burner. However I noticed you have ??? for data burning. OS X can do this through the Finder like on OS 9-- may be only a 10.1 feature.
