virtual desktop under OS X?

Is there a way to make the actual desktop size higher than the screen resolution under X? I wouldn't mind scrolling around, since scrolling around on a 15" TFT is cheaper than not scrolling on the 22"... :o )

I've been lobying for those for a while... Still no sign though. <a href="http://www.virtspace.com" target="_blank">those</a> guys are apparently developping an OSX version, but I don't know how far along they are. I wish for them practically every day....

Here is another thought. try Space.Dock (I found it at Versiontracker. It handles up to 19 different work spaces and you can switch betweemn them with the click of a mouse on the Dockling. May be worth a try for you...
