Beta version of RealPlayer?

Has anyone here tried some of the beta versions of RealPlayer? I rely pretty much on it as I'm living abroad and my old local radio station brodcasts in .ram

BTW, one of my RealPlayer stations is started brodcasting in .smil, but when I open it with QT the logo of the station appears in the window but then a message stating illegal stream or stream not supported or something like that. Is RealPlayer the only app able to play that type of stream?

Thanks
Kelib

i emailed real a few weeks ago and got a terse reply saying,

"should be available in a couple of months"

whatever that means.

Maybe, just maybe, it means that a beta version of Real Player will be available in about 2 months?

You should be able to play SMIL tracks in iTunes, no?

I keep wondering if there's some kind of relation between the delay in RealPlayer for OS X and the upcoming MPEG 4-supporting QuickTime 6. Since Real is also committed to supporting MPEG-4, could they be waiting on/working with Apple to nail down the implementation?

The hold up is that they want to include every feature that RealPlayer for OS 9 has.

Apparently, they're still trying to figure out the best ways to lock up OS X.
