The MacBook updates are supposed to be sometime in October. Around October 14th if I am correct. But what about this :

If they are going to get rid of the apple tv stocks and update them, why not update the macbooks on the same day. Discuss!

Apple's license to use the promotional art for AppleTV expires on the 30th. That doesn't necessarily mean an announcement, but, if there is one, the Mac Mini TV superweapon deserves its own day in the sun. Who cares about the incremental MacBook update? Let someone ask about it in a Q&A. :P

What do you mean by that?

I already realize I was wrong, I never really expected them to come out with anything to day, but why is it straight up bull?

I just don't see anything happening to the Apple TV soon.

Because you don't hold a special event for a product that is (most likely, accessories aside) your weakest seller…

I would expect any AppleTV news at MacWorld in 01/09; or, as an aside to a laptop announcement.

I, for one, REALLY hope Apple combines the AppleTV, Mac mini & Time Capsule units into an all-in-one home server/digital hub/entertainment center…

I wasn't expecting a special event, more of just a subtle update on the website. Nothing to take away the Nano and iPod Touch fun on the homepage, just a quick update to the store. Nothing big at all...

And wouldn't we all love a easy to use home server that combines apple tv, the mini, and time capsule... if only if only...

I think Apple puts the AppleTV in the same category as the Airport base station, an appliance that only changes every 3-4 years apart from software updates.

I, for one, REALLY hope they don't do this. Quite often I watch the tele, listen to tunes, and write an email all at the same time. Combining these into a one device would greatly reduce my multitasking
