MB 2.0GHZ vs 2.4 - Worth the Price?

Dear AppleInsiders,

I'd like your input on my next notebook investment.

Is it worth the extra $300.00 for the upgraded 2.4 GHZbasic MacBook? I'm not a heavy user, but typically lean towards buying a product that will last as long as possible. I'll be migrating from a Sony Vaio running a 1.8GHZ on Vista.

All sound arguments are welcome.

As you're looking for something that will last, you probably want a machine that will meet the system requirements of future software, and the slower model will fail to do that first.
