Yeah there's no reason why they'd do that when they don't use an Atom in their ultra-portable. The Mini would be much slower than the current model.
The ATV will improve considerably with that spec though, probably to the annoyance of people who bought the old one.
Those things would be pretty good for co-located server boxes at that size. Some companies already use the ATV.
