using vlc to play dvds with Aspect Ratio: 1.78:1
hello. i just ordered a dvd movie that has an aspect ratio of 1.78:1 at Fye's in the local mall today and i'm planning on watching this dvd and doing screen captures with vlc on my new mbp that i'm going to order any day now, and i'm wondering if vlc is up to the job of running this dvd and letting me do screen captures from this dvd without lowering the resolution of the movie/screenshots? this is very important to me and i hope that vlc (which I downloaded and have backed up on removable media) will provide me with excellent, high quality, full-resolution video and screen captures?
