Grey screen after hitting home button? (3GS)

I was wondering if anyone has experienced a grey transparent screen once and a while when hitting the home button after the iphone was asleep? It only happens here and there, not all the time. Any input or if someone knows if it's simply a setting or something worse would be greatly appreciated.

    Sounds like a screenshot. But it's not. Could be a hardware defect. Send it to Apple for a check. They'll replace it for you FOC. Should be..
