Target Disc Mode w/ MacDrive on WinXP

I'm using Macdrive to connect my defective macbook to my windows xp pc - I boot the macbook in target disc mode, the PC recognizes it as an external drive but when I try clicking on it I get the error "please insert a disc".



I've looked everywhere but I can't find a solution to this problem.



Does anyone have any insight?
