iChat and GoogleTalk Video Chat -- Can it be Done?

Has anyone had any success using iChat as the client for a Googletalk (Jabber) video and audio chat, with a Windows user? I tried this yesterday without success -- I had to install Google's browser plugin with Safari. Otherwise I could only text chat.
