Mail program lost

On my G5 that I've had for 2 years, all of a sudden, I try to check my email and the MAIL startup window (Startup Assistant) appears as if I were going to set up for the 1st. I've used Mail on this computer since the day I got it and now it won't launch and when I go through the Startup procedure

it won't accept my info to setup my longstanding account.



Any ideas as to how I can find my original acct. ?

    I think the first thing you have to do is uninstall MS Office for Mac. That is known to cause problems with mail.
