8GB Ram On 15" late 2008 2.8GHz Mode?

Hello Guys, i just need to know will my Late 2008 Aluminium 15" MacbookPro support the new 8GB ram, i heard people saying that it can be done but not for sure, could anyone confirm that? I know Nvidia said that there chips support 8GB so i guess you can install and use 8GB ram?

    According to Apple's support website, it'll only support up to 6GB RAM.

    yeah i have seen that to however they have said in the past that there system take less then they really do, plus i heard a lot of people using 8gb so this is why i wanted to find out if someone have used 8gb.
