Spyware on my Mac?

How can I tell if there is spyware, and other unwanted software, on my mac? What should I be looking for that may be slowing me down?

    You do get some spyware on the Mac in the form of tracking cookies that you can remove with the following software but that won't slow your machine down:

    If you're having performance issues, you need to go into more detail about what is going slow as well as your system spec, Ram, processor etc.
