iTunes 9 hangs on Mac Pro with Snow Leopard

Just installed iTunes 9 on a Mac Pro (early 2008 - quad-core Xeon) running Snow Leopard and it does not work! Basically it hangs forever (not responding). This is my first experience with newly released Apple S/W not running on a relatively new platform with the latest O/S...



Anyone else had this issue? Hope we get a quick upgrade to fix this.

    On my iMac.. I started to get worried about the spinning beach ball... but I discovered it was doing some adjustment to the entire library, and then re-figuring gapless playback stuff and other assorted "upgrades". Hence It SEEMED like it was hung/not working... but after 3-5 minutes (?) it was back to normal.



    If yours was a definite "hung app" then I'm of no help... but give it a few/several minutes.... maybe it'll work.
