My 20 mo. old 24" iMac has started making a random grinding noise. My guess is it's from the hard drive. Any advice?
Mines about the same age and I just had the hard drive replaced. Anything else like mysterious slow downs. If you don't already have one, get an external hard drive and back up immediately and often after that.
