finder and spotlight won't search
just installed OS X 10.6 on my macbook (intel duo). now the search feature in finder and spotlight will not search. when i enter something to search (e.g., a file that is on my desktop), nothing happens: no files appear, says 0 items; it doesn't appear to conduct a search at all. both finder and spotlight are having this problem. any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.
