No Expose function in Magic Mouse?

Can anyone refute this? It appears that there is no expose function in the new Magic Mouse, while there was a very nicely integrated Expose function in the Mighty Mouse.

the whole purpose for purchasing the Mighty Mouse was that it worked so well with the Mac and made everything so natural.

the new mouse seems to remove this extremely useful feature.

Can anyone tell me if there is some multi-touch capability in the new mouse that interfaces with Expose.

If not, then this mouse is worthless until Apple puts the feature back in - buttons on the side again or not.

If you use the new mouse, you cannot use expose without having to reach over your keyboard.

I wonder if there isn't a gestures-type functionality which would be released in some future software update. I hope so. Until then I'm sticking with my Logitech Revolutions mouse.

I ordered one, but I have my doubts I'll prefer it to my MX Rev. That said, just map Exposé to a corner of your screen, it's the way to go.

As a new user to all things Mac, and I have been using the Mighty Mouse with the expose button on the side and I must say it proved rather useful.

I have now discovered 'Hotspots' which is what you are talking about when you place your cursor into any corner.

My top left hand corner opens up expose and my bottom right corner shows the desktop.

Officially called "Active Screen Corners". Once you get used to it there's no going back, it's like 2 finger scrolling or three finger swipe.

Wrong, Its called Active Screen Corners and its what I've used for 5 years. I don't need carpal tunnel from clicking awkward placed buttons all day just for Expose. Active Screen Corners is THE WAY to go for Expose and Desktop view.

Carpel Tunnel is from repressed emotions. The pain is real, and physical, but the reason is less obvious so people blame the wrong thing.

Aside from Screen Zooming, there are no extra functions on the Magic Mouse, period. No way to assign anything to anything.

But for Exposé (and Spaces), hot corners are the way to go, IMHO.

Two-finger swipe to go backward and forward is an "extra" feature whether you like it or not.

I concur. They definitely upgraded the sex appeal, but downgraded the functionality

And Hot Corners is an alternative and not a solution. Especially with 24 + inch screens in multi-monitor environment.

Give me a middle click for Expose and Side buttons for my desktop. IMHO 1000 times more efficient than Hot Corners.

Just like they brought back the matte screen on the MBP, they'll add a middle click hot zone and side buttons, or, just elaborate on the finger gestures.

I'll be waiting patiently for them to correct this issue.

Right. And McCain/Palin was a serious candidacy that had intentions of winning.

There have been several books written on the subject, by some well respected doctors.

We can only hope for that and dashboard/ middle click functionality.

I use exposé very frequently, it's something I do without thinking.

Being a mac user since the times of G3 Macs, there was a time I always used Active Screen Corners for exposé, but I didn't really like it, I hated the swipe I had to make with the whole mouse...

And also when I didn't intented to use exposé, it frequently showed up when I had to go to a corner for anything but exposé.

I am one of those people that LOVES the Mighty Mouses exposé capabillity. It's very fast and natural to me, and was very happy when that functionallity came in the Mighty Mouse.

I hope that there will be an update adding exposé to Magic Mouses functions.

This was a problem for myself also, then I found you can download Better Touch Tool, add gestures for selected applications, so now to expose I swipe two fingers upwards, but you can use other gestures as like four fingers swipe to left or right - up or down, or three fingers up or down, the same goes for Dashboard, Finder, Spaces and so on.

I've been promoting BTT all over as many of you have seen. The thing is, it works great.

For Exposé I have set it to three-finger click. It never fails to invoke correctly, and it's never invoked by accident. It's every bit as good as having a dedicated button somewhere.
