Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right thread to post this in, so move it if need be or tell me where to post.

Well, its been about a year since the transition to my iMac, I feel like there is sooo much more to learn about mac then I know now. I grew up on windows, and built my own windows based stuff as a kid, while in college I lost touch with computing a little, and now most all my computer use is listening to my music, and suffing the internet, occansionally playing games. I love the switch to mac, and I try to recomend it to anyone that I know thats not a mac person.

If anyone has any advise as to learning new stuff about my mac please post a link, I did google it, and there is soo much stuff to go through, it would be easier for someone to point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Here is my current setup:

Mid 2008 20" iMac with Snow Lepord 2.4Ghz with 250gb hdd and 4Gb ram

Vmware Fusion with windows XP

Insignia 26" flat sreen as a second monitor/entertainment.

Logitech 5.1 surround sound speakers

Dell 13" laptop (couldn't afford a macbook at the time, but one is in the distant horizon lol)

I didn't think my post sounded anything like spam, nor anything close to viagra.

It didn't but that's the way the spam operators seem to work.

They start a thread to say 'hi' and then the next threads they start are to sell some bull shit.

Your question's kinda hard to answer without any specifics about what sort of things you want to learn. Are you after suggestions of software to do certain tasks? Do you fancy learning about the UNIX command line? Would you like sites about how to write scripts to automate your workflow? Give us some idea of what sort of things you do, and we might be able to help
