changing country= losing iphone data??

Hi,

I have an iphone 1st gen, I'm planning on going back to France for a few years. I'm going to buy a new iphone there. How can I transfer everything I have from my 1st gen iphone bought here in the US to my new iphone that I will buy in France? Ist it even possible?

    If you have the phone synced to a Mac, you can take the backup and restore it onto the new phone. If you have a laptop, it should work without a problem. If not, take a clone of your machine onto an external drive and take that with you. Then clone that onto a Mac you get in France.
