Selling iPhone 2G 8GB - question

I was looking on eBay and it looks like at least a couple of phones that went for a pretty decent price had apps already installed - i.e. the ones from the App Store that you pay for. What's the drawback to this? I've got a ton of apps that I've paid for (Madden, Real Soccer 08, Hold 'Em, etc...) Is it worth it to go ahead and leave the apps on there and sell it? The only drawback I can see if if I run into the 5 iPhone limit but, I'll be honest, I don't think there are too many apps I'm going to be running in 7+ years that I currently own other than maybe Shazam.
