Internet Problems

Yesterday my brother annoyingly unplugged all of the leads out of our Belkin internet box. I am now connected to the internet, i've set it up with entering my password.



But when I click the internet next to the Clock on the top bar, should there be a lock next to my internet? There are locks next to other networks that the computer is picking up, but not my own, yet I have entered the password???

    I must also add that when I search for networks and my internet network shows, it does show with a lock next to it. I just wanted to know if when I am connected to my network, a lock should show next to it?
