First, they cancel the Tick (which had tons of potential) and now I'm watching Adult Swim on cartoon network and Home Movies is no longer in "squigglevision!!!!!!!!!!
WTF?!?! It has totally changed the entire dynamic of the show.
Yea. One thing that bugs me about the live action is that they don't seem to be fighting crime. I missed some so maybe I didn't see it but as far as I can tell they just sit around and talk.

The live action Tick has also been axed. I thought the animated version was much better. I thought Puddy would make a better Tick than he did. Bat Manuel was pretty funny though...
yes I know, but what about NEW episodes?!

I suggest you go here. That where the originators have some new stuff. I have four Nicklodeon videos of Ren and Stimpy that I treasure with my life.
[quote]The live action one or the animated?

Well, I was talking about the live one. I've gotten over (barely) the cancellation of the animated series. I agree that the live version needed to have more crime fighting but I was willing to let the first season be more of an introduction to the characters. Alas, we shall never know
[quote]...but Home Movies isn't in squigglevision any more?? Goddamnit!! I missed Adult Swim tonight. What is it like now?

It's awful! Really. You might not think that something like that matters but it just throws the whole thing off. Half the comedy of Home Movies was just letting the characters sit there and squiggle. I think that the fact that the cartoon is badly drawn (on purpose, I know) doesn't affect it so much when squigglevision is on but when it is off the characters just look ugly.
Comments
but at least i still got the first episode on VHS
