With friends like this...
I sold my old iMac special edition to my friend about a year ago, then about three months ago I sold him my multi-function printer to him... this thing was a fax/high-res scanner/printer...
And over the next few months he kept calling me over to his house because it kept breaking "all by itself" <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" /> I doubt that, since he broke my camcorder by jamming the tape in backwards... and we wont even talk about the peanut butter/VCR incident... <img src="graemlins/oyvey.gif" border="0" alt="[No]" />
Anyway this thing seems to break all by itself all the time?
...
first the ink cartridges were in wrong then the scanning arm "jumped" off the track all by itself (this just cant happen!), then the printing arm got off the track... and it took several visits over there to get it re-aligned...
then on the phone he tells me that he tossed it... <img src="graemlins/surprised.gif" border="0" alt="[Surprised]" />
the Hi-res scanner worked!, I got the printer to work again too...
And he just tossed it! I shouted do you still have it!
he said no the garbage truck hauled it off two days ago!
I help his
all the time, and the guy didnt even give me a thought! he just tossed a $400 multi-function printer!
