hello all,

I'm with Telus and I'm thinking about getting an Iphone. Here's what they offered:

200 minutes (free after 6pm and weekends)

75 minutes of long distance

Free unlimited texting

Free caller ID

500megs of data

10 Voicemail boxes

Total is exactly $56.50/per month after taxes

Is this a good deal? Tell me what you think and post your plans!

Well I'm with Vodafone Australia and for $A69 on 24 month contract I get an iPhone 3GS 16GB, $A400 worth of calls, SMS, MMS, free visual voicemail, unlimited free calls Vodafone to Vodafone 8pm to midnight and all weekend, and 1GB of data which can also be used for tethering.

For $A99 I can get unlimited calls, SMS, MMS etc 1.5GB data and an iPhone 3GS 32GB is free on a twenty four month contract.

Hi Wattrone, I think the plan you have is not that bad at all.

    - If you work in an office during business hours then you won't be using your mobile phone that much so 200 minutes is somehow okay.

    - After 6 and weekends free is excellent.

    - 500 MB of data is more than enough for email, regular surfing and downloading apps from the apple store. Make sure you can "tether" with the data plan that Telus offers. Also, ask them if you get a notification by SMS when you are getting close to your 500 MB limit.

As for the question you initially asked, here is my plan:

I have city Fido in Montreal...

    - unlimited incoming/outgoing calls

    - caller ID, enhanced voice mail, who called, 150 SMS

    - 500 MB data plan

total comes up to about 80 $ CAN

I do about 1700 minutes talk a month average (billed by the second)

Had the phone since March this year (3G / 16gb only). Pay $5.06/mth for the handset on top.
