Need help with GrowlMail

I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.2 and ever since I installed GrowlMail, Mail has not been playing its notification sound when mail arrives. Is anyone else having this problem? How do you fix it? It's not that big of a deal I guess I just kind of like hearing something when something happens

    I can't even get Growl to install for some reason.
