I have just purchased a used G5 and once it arrived I realized the monitor cable I had would not work with this newer Mac. the monitor I was using is a Lacie Electron 22 blue that I used with my G4 before it craped out.

The configuration on the G5 is eight square female slots in a row over 3rows

plus 4 squares on the right. so 24 next to 4 slots is the best I can discribe it.

The configuration on the older monitor is a fifteen pin male .

Is there any way to make this monitor work with the G5 ????

Help

Bob

It's a DVI port on your G5. Use something like this
