iTunes splitting up my albums - what's wrong?

Sometimes when I rip a CD, iTunes displays it as two separate albums in the grid view. The album names and artist names match. Any idea why it does this?



So maybe 10 tracks will be in one of the albums, and 1 will be in the other.

    It's likely because one of the artist fields have some conflicting information. To resolve it, get info on all the files (select all, then command I) and then in the Artists field, erase all the text and do the same in the Album Artist field and then click OK. Then go back and get info again and then type the artist name in both fields. This should resolve it.

    Sometimes an extra space in one of the fields can throw it off. Also, the Album Artist field can cause this issue as well.
