30" Cinema Display

I very much wish to upgrade to a larger screen. I presently have the Apple 24" display. I am a professor and often need to use 2 or more documents to complete a piece of work, e.g. an exam or grant application.



When I see the 30" display, it seems sooooo big, I back off, for I fear it will be overwhelming to use.



I imagine a 27" display would be fine, although I much prefer the matte finish. I assume Apple will sometime soon offer a 27".

    Dell have a 27" IPS on the way and they are matte. They currently have PVA models at $799:

    I think the IPS ones are due to come in around $1,000.

    But the resolution on the Ultrasharp is still 1920 X 1200, the same as my 24".
