Where does mail store it's addresses? I thought it used the address book app. I deleted an old email address for my son in my address book app but it still shows up in my mail app. How do I purge it from mail?

If you've made a point of saving an address, it goes into the Address Book application. If you're talking only about the addresses you've sent to previously, the list can be found (and edited) in Window/Previous Recipients. This list can be sorted in a variety of ways.

Thanks, that sounds like what I'm looking for. I'll check it out when I get home.

Actually, I routinely (maybe monthly or so) delete ALL of the Previous Recipients. Keeps things nice and clean and I don't take a chance on sending something to the wrong recipient. Address book will repopulate the previous recipients as you send new email.

You could do that, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it. Sometimes you might want to be able to reply to someone who you don't want to record in your Address Book. I sort my previous recipients list by date and remove some of the really old ones.
