iMac voice
I have not relegated my old G4 to the scrap heap. I wondered what the difference between it and my new 27", i5 iMac would be. Many positive differences, but some negative ones also.
One particular change for the worse is the voice of iMac. Both Macs are set up to announce the hour. The old Mac, with Tiger, has a clear, more natural voice. The new iMac has a very mechanical voice. I am disappointed. I thought the new one would be even more 'human'.
I notice also that SL has NOT brought back the ability to cut and paste into the MacMail outgoing, new message, 'Subject' window. The last OS that permitted that neat function was Panther.
