man, i've got a job interview in 4 hours that is for my dream job.



if i could have graduated college and written up what i'd like to do, this would be it. thing is, they called me in for an interview, and i'm actually nervous. (usually i never am)



so i'm just wasting time browsing the web before i go in. hopefully i get called back for a second interview...



job is as a Web Content Specialist, for the Biotech Marketing Dept.



i worked for years at a biological research lab, and graduated with a degree in marketing. i match all the other things they want perfectly too, so i think i really have a shot.



thing is, this job is 10 times better than all the others i've been offered, and i think i might be perfect for it. just seems a little to perfect.



guess it might actually be the answer to all my prayers while job searching, but then again that might be a bit preemptive at this point.



i'll let you all know how it went in a few hours.....

Whatever you do, don't pee your pants duringthe interview. That would guarantee you don't get the job.



If you are perfect for the position then don't worry, you just have to tell them why you are perfect for it and if you are right, you've got a job! That easy.

I'll echo Groverats sentiments. Companies want to hear you tell them that YOU are the best person for the job. Obviously you have the skills or you wouldn't have been granted an Interview. Confidence(without being too arrogant) is the key. Good luck!!

just got back, i rocked.



they loved me. i can't believe how well it went. every question seemed to somehow resonate exactly with what the two interviewers wanted.



even the parts where i said what was my biggest problem/worst aspect part went well. (i can't keep my desk organized. the one interviewer starts laughing and said that this was the first time she'd cleaned her desk in four years)



we ended up having a great time/rapport.



now i have to wait a week. i was the first to intverview, they have canidates later today, tomorrow, friday and monday.



so far so good though.



(p.s. once the interview started, i wasn't nervous at all)

exactly one week from now i should find out.



they said it would go one of two ways. if there are a few good canidates, come wednesday there will be a second round of interviews.



they said if there was one canidate who stood out they'd just offer the job to them on wed.



i'm hoping that goes to me.

Good luck. I was just in the same situation and I know the waiting is hard to take. In my case one week went to two and then I knew that the chance for me were going down as time went on.
