Can iTunes be used in parallel between 32 bit & 64 bit windows computers ?

I Have an iPod classic, I have built up a substantial iTunes library. I keep a copy of my iTunes library on my 32 bit computer, a windows vista pc . . .

I recently purchased a 64 bit laptop that runs windows 7 in 64 bit. I am thinking about copying all associated iTunes media/ library files on to the corresponding folders in my 64 bit laptop . . . However I am concerned about possible incompatibillity issues by running in parallel, the same iPod in 32 bit/ 64 bit machines. Does anyone know if this can be done successfully or does the iPod itself have to be formatted for either a 32 bit or 64 bit version of windows ?

Please help . . .

Copy your entire iTunes folder from 32-bit computer to 64-bit computer and your iPod will not know the difference
