green screen in iTunes (and stuttering, and freezing video)
My 18-month-old MacBook Pro went a little crazy today. Specifically, with iTunes. Now, when starting to play a music video or a TV show, when I tell it to go to full screen with Apple-F, the video will often freeze, while the audio plays on like nothing is wrong. I'm sometimes able to get it to work again by tapping space bar a few times. The video stutters, it flashes a green screen for a moment, and then the video starts up.
I tried re-installing iTunes, but that didn't change anything.
Does anybody have any clue what could be causing this, and more importantly, how I get video playback in iTunes to work more smoothly?
Many many MANY thanks if anyone can solve this. My three-year-old was really upset this evening when he wanted to watch Fraggle Rock and I couldn't get it to work.

Try to play the same file(s) in VLC and see if they play correctly.
