User Name in Menu Bar

Is there a way to have the Users' names appear in the Menu Bar?

(Mac 10.6)

    Go to Systems Preferences >> Accounts >> Login Options and check "Show fast user switching menu as" checkbox. Choose Name, Short Name or Icon in the drop down menu.
