Can you use a Macbook Pro as a monitor?

I'm doing some scoring work in Logic Pro on my iMac 24" Core 2 duo 2.16 ghz, and would love to be able to have the picture I'm working on play on a separate monitor. I was thinking of getting another monitor (the 3rd party ones aren't to expensive) but it occurred to me it would be handy if I could just use my Macbook Pro (2.66 Core 2 Duo, 15") as a second monitor? Is that possible?
