With the mobile platform for advertising becoming more lucrative by the day, bigger corporations are shelling out bigger bucks to grab hold of market share. As the battle grows more heated, two companies in particular are emerging as the major players: Apple and Google

Last November Google finalized a $750 million deal to acquire Admob; the most successful mobile ad network to date, distributing nearly 200 billion ad impressions as of April. Google managed to snag the young company by capitalizing on Apple?s hesitation to go through with their own $600 million bid.
