i have been reading reviews and searching cnet but most reviews only say pc compatible and i was told that that means not mac, when i just thought it ment personal computer.

any help would be amazing.

i hope this is the appropriate place to post this.

For sheer sound quality, take a look at AudioEngine's speakers. They aren't wireless, but sound amazing and are powered. I have the $200 A2s and love them. For wireless, that depends. Wireless music? Airport Express is $89USD and will stream your itunes music to anywhere in the house.

Note: They have a 2 second lag when you hit 'play' in iTunes initially, and when you resume after pausing.

If you have an iPod touch or iPhone, you can download Apple's free Remote.app for it and wirelessly browse and play songs (on your computer, which broadcasts wirelessly to the Airport Express). This is great, because it is not a line-of-sight solution.

Also, both products can be used in many scenarios if your needs change. AE is a WiFi N router, and print server. The A2s can be plugged into anything with analogue outputs, from laptops to televisions to iPods.

    That said, Express + A2s = $289.

Whatever you buy, for the love of god, audition the speakers, or research them extensively. Amazon is great for this.
